5th Annual Survey Methods Workshop Coming in July 2025

Overview

This interactive virtual workshop explores and applies concepts related to the lifecycle of survey implementation from developing items, to survey administration, sampling, and response rates. Participants learn to design scientifically valid surveys that are inclusive of all populations.

By the end of the workshop, participants should be able to critically assess the quality of existing surveys and survey items, design new survey items, and develop a plan for survey administration, including sampling frameworks and logistical considerations. Workshop materials are drawn from research on survey methodology and offer guidance on designing and administering high-quality surveys. Instructors will provide practical advice and examples from surveys for local, state, national, and global applications. As part of the activities in this workshop, students will develop a survey design and survey items in their research focus area.
